This is the hand from last night that's been occupying my attention the most today, so I thought I'd let you guys take a crack at it...

Not a great flop for me, but I've still got a draw to the 3rd nut flush...

Hmm... I hit the flush and suddenly it's two back to me, and what's worse, I'm not closing the action - it could be 4 bets here and 4 more on the river to see a showdown if both players really like their hand. Even worse than that, there's 4 to a straight flush on the board, so I could have the high flush and still lose...

Call, or fold? Or raise?

There are 4 cards that could beat you, and you have no draws. It's going to be expensive to get to showdown. I would fold.

There is hands that you can play profitably, JTs,QTs, KTs. Things that play well multiway. Small pairs too if the texture is loose and passive enough. KQo is a raise or fold in that situation as you want to limit what you are playing against.

That's a good point about the KQo - I'll have to keep that in mind.

The reason this hand was bugging me today was that I did in fact fold only to watch someone else turn over . My first thought was that I folded the winning hand, but after posting the hand here I realize that he did in fact have the straight flush - a fact forgotten in my recall of how the hand played out...

four of the remaining eight flush cards beat you. given that so many people saw the flop, it wouldn't surprise me if one or more of them was out there.
