KK first hand in...

Postby MVPSPORTS » Tue Nov 15, 2005 2:37 pm

This was literally my first hand sitting down... I was the BB, and hadn't played on Paradise in a while, so had NO idea about what these people are doin... BTW, they suck donkeyballs... The stupid slidebar dicked up my turn bet, and I was VERY concerned what to do with this river... Any suggestions...?

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed)

SB ($42.75)
Hero ($100.00)
UTG ($105.00)
UTG+1 ($99.50)
UTG+2 ($104.25)
MP1 ($68.25)
MP2 ($92.25)
MP3 ($98.50)
CO ($191.25)
Button ($37.25)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Kh], [Kc]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $1, 4 folds, MP3 calls $1, 1 fold, Button calls $1, SB (poster) completes, Hero raises to $5.5, UTG calls $5, MP3 folds, Button folds, SB folds.

Flop: ($15) [2d], [2c], [3c] (2 players)
Hero bets $14, UTG calls $14.

Turn: ($43) [Jd] (2 players)
Hero bets $20, UTG calls $20.

NOW, I HATE THIS TURN CARD, AND MY BET... I WAS JUST GETTIN USED TO PARADISE, AND THEIR SLIDE BAR IS A REAL BALLBUSTER... I WANTED TO BET A LITTLE CLOSER TO $35... If he raises this turn hard, it is weak/tight to let it go...?

River: ($83) [6s] (2 players)
[color=#CC3333]Hero ???

well he called a pre-flop raise
he didn't raise the turn.

he could have 33

I don't think the J is a terrible turn card. The odds of him having JJ aren't great (he should have raised pre-flop)

so I am going to say push in here and hope you don't see something stupid like A2 or 33

I think he is on a busted draw, but I am usually wrong about these things

I would have either check raised all in on the turn or just pushed the turn.

I'm still pushing though.
