It mightve been a stupid bluff, but it wasnt hopeless. There are also alot of hands that I could have there that I would have to fold.

For example, if both my cards werent hearts, I wouldve folded. If I had AA with a heart I may have folded.

The more I think about it, I wouldve had to think seriously about folding with just about anything but the hand I had or QQ or JJ.

You're assuming that HE realises that you might actually fold any hand you would re-raise with there. I would guesstimate that he gets called at least 90% of the time there by "normal" players. If I were him I would be thinking "re-raise = AA-JJ or AK-AQ, there's only ONE hand he is folding, AK, and that's if it's not of the right suit". If the roles were reversed, would you expect HIM to fold a lot of the time?
