Bet the Turn?

Postby AlamedaMike » Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:20 pm

Okay - I should have bet the Turn? True or false?

FullTiltPoker Game #286037604: Table Spring Gate - $0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em - 2005/11/10
PocketRudds ($51.75) - SB
AlamedaMike ($46.50) - LP

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to AlamedaMike [Js] [Qs]

AlamedaMike calls $0.50

palerider23 calls $0.50 (BTN)

PocketRudds calls $0.25 (SB)

CamelBK checks (BB)

*** FLOP *** [Ad] [6d] [Qs]

PocketRudds bets $1
CamelBK folds

Humm, does he really have an ace? or a flush draw?

AlamedaMike raises to $3
palerider23 folds
PocketRudds calls $2

Okay, he just called my raise. The last time we played a hand together he reraised me when he had a hand. I think he has a weak Ace or a flush draw. Maybe a Queen.

*** TURN *** [2h]

Damn, no help. I still have position.

PocketRudds checks

My gut say fire a bet here. I raised and got the information I wanted now follow though. Humm, okay check and see the river.

AlamedaMike checks

*** RIVER *** [6s]

No help here.

PocketRudds checks

No use to bet here. He will call with a weak ace since I checked the Turn.

AlamedaMike checks

*** SHOW DOWN ***

AlamedaMike shows [Js] [Qs] (two pair, Queens and Sixes)

PocketRudds mucks [8d] [7d]

AlamedaMike wins the pot ($7.60) with two pair, Queens and Sixes

Small edge play. Requires a good read.
More suited to live than online?

I don't usually bother online.

Also, your reraise was too small. It didn't get you any information.
