Hmm.. is that a rock over there..?

First time playing at Party since I started playing 2 years ago. I haven't played ANY poker in a while and I'm afraid I'm very rusty. Will post several hands from this session. I'm playing $25 since I haven't been able to get enough mony into Neteller and I'm not comfortable on this skin yet.

I had 80 or so hands on this guy, he had played 10% of them and *never* raised.

Party Poker Pot-Limit Hold'em, $ Stoneburg (7 handed)

SB ($23.05)
Stoneburg ($84.05)
UTG ($24.30)
MP1 ($10.70)
MP2 ($25.90)
CO ($24.65)
Button ($27.10)

Preflop: Stoneburg is BB with [Kh], [Kd]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
1 fold, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, CO calls $0.25, 1 fold, SB (poster) raises to $1.15, Stoneburg calls $1, MP1 folds, CO folds.

Flop: ($3) [Th], [6d], [Ah] (2 players)
SB bets $2.85, Stoneburg folds.

Final Pot: $5.85

Ovbiously it's a super easy fold postflop but does anyone re-raise preflop?

Do you really want to isolate against a rock who either (in my mind) has AA, AK or possibly QQ (with a strong bias towards AA)?

I wanted to see a flop before committing.

first off, 80 hands isn't the best judge of a player... Hell, I've prolly gone 80 hands a couple times where I PLAYED almost nothing... I probably had a VPIP of like 1.25%... And, like I said, if it was heads up, I would've liked it better...

But, figure his hands... If he has AA, you're gonna get screwed... If he has AK, you're putting your money in as a 2:1 favorite, if he has QQ, you're dominating him... I like getting my money in there... If you had 1000 hands on him, and he was still playing the same way, I'd like your method a little more...

But, figure it like this, what flop would you have really liked to see...??? Are you feelin good about Q72??? 456??? When are you gonna make a stand against him...? Or, were you willing to go allin as long as an Ace didn't flop...?

If there is a Q or A on the flop I am out of there. If it is only rags I have to make a decision. Obviously I am hoping to bust him with a set, which is why I don't mind letting more people in.

I would not like to get my money in against his HD with KK. I don't think he's getting his money in with QQ or AK very often, and I don't think he has any of those hands as often as he has AA. If I thought there was no bias towards AA I wouldn't mind but 80 hands without raising and then a max raise out of SB... I think it is optimistic to assume AK and QQ to be as likely.

As I see it, this is the weakness of a uber-tight preflop strategy like his. An observamt player will never lose much money to him. In hindsight I am quite happy with the way I played it, I see no real downside yet in just calling here (with position on him) and seeing a flop first. I'm not sure whether it is more or less EV to just call preflop but I figure I want more information before I committ, because of his narrow HD.
