OK - so I messed this hand up pretty good. This guy had been laying down to me all day on the turn so I decided to fire out $25 trying to get a fold telling myself I would give it up on the river if he called.
He called. At this point Im still not sure what to put him on - he was so tight the only hands I could really put him on limping utg were medium maybe small pairs - which he would have folded if he missed. So I put him on maybe 88 or maybe even a hand like JQ - with the straight draw out there I figured he would have raised me by now then, so maybe he flopped a straight with KQ? These are valid hands but again I didn think this guy would play these types of hands UTG. He didnt raise so I wasnt to worry about AK or KK - this ruled out pretty much any K so I figured if my Q did hit I was good.
So he calls the turn and the river is the Q - I made the straight but Im still not sure where I am - hoping that he just has 88 I bet his last $60, he calls it and shows me that he was "slowplaying" KK. So yea I messed this hand up pretty good and should have shut down after the flop.
But is my reasoning that he doesnt have a K by limping UTG valid? This is one of the main reasons I fired again on the turn thinking that my Q out was good if he doesnt have a K..
