Keeping Notes (example included)

Postby Zuccala » Mon Nov 07, 2005 5:40 pm

Hello,

The notes that i take online are pretty good.....I think. I basically copied Ice's headings in his article and use it as a template to post in where u can keep notes on the player, here is what I mean:

1. Suited Cards- YES, Kxs

2. Flush Chaser- Yes, Will pay full price too

3.Calling Raises- 5BB w/K7s

4. AK-Overplays

5. Any Ace- YES, A4o

6. Raisng Hands- 5BB w/AQ, 4BB w/AA

7.Other- Uses CB's,
- Will make small bet on paired flop alot w/ nada

This is what aoppears in the note box of basically every player I can. Is this OK? What else do u think i should put in there. Betting Patterns?? How long he/she takes?? Any help here would be great guys. Am I doing a good job w/ this?? I just moved up to $50NL and I have make sure my notes are as accurate as possible. Thanks!

The first note I make on as many people as I see is "20a100" or "200a50": meaning, they are sitting and don't rebuy with $20 at the $100 game, or they have $200 at the $50 game. Any amount that is less than half a stack or more than about 1.5 stacks is worth a note. It doesn't tell you how they play, but it can put some perspective on things.

To my mind, "plays A4o from EP" tells you two very different things if it goes with "20a100" than if it goes with "200a50". One is a loose fish the other may be a scary LAG with some talent.

The date of the observation - everyone can improve, and I often pay less attention to a year-old note than a recent one.
