AA and PF play!

Postby Zuccala » Sun Nov 06, 2005 9:18 pm

Hey Guys,

Two instances that came up today and i was wondering what u think. Today I had [As][Ac] UTG and limped. It was raised 5 BB by another EP player and called in 4 spots. I went ALL-IN over the top. U guys like? If there were only like 2 callers or so i would not have pushed. Just made a big re-raise instead. Is that a better idea? Basically, at $25NL and 4 callers to a PF raise i know 1 will call my ALL-IN. But with 2 callers or so I am not as gauranteed to get a ALL-IN call, so I want to create some dead money and get the pot heads up. Thanks Guys!

I like the push for two reasons:

A.) It's NL25 - they won't recognize the limp re-raise as Aces.
B.) People tend to get pissed off when they think they are going to see a flop and all of a sudden it gets all the way around and then some d-bag (You) goes all-in. Also related to this is people tend to see these big pushes when there is a moderate raise and several callers as a bluff attempt to take down what's already in the pot (It usually is).

How do u guys feel about the same play with KK. I currently ONLY limp-Reraise ALL-IN w/AA. I mean I may do it w/ JJ,QQ,KK if a maniac is ALWAYS raising behind me and i want to trap him. But i would be very curious if you guys play KK similarily to AA in this situation. I ALWAYS just raise it up with KK in EP. I am moving to $50NL and i want to see if there is merit in some new and different PF strategies. Just trying to diversify. Thanks![/i]

Agree with all above, I like the all in push and would do the same with KK with no hesitation.
