Red AA flop play...question

Postby Danhdan » Fri Oct 21, 2005 4:14 pm

PP NL $25 buyin; ten handed Blinds .1/.25
First hand at table and posted .25
Had [Ah] [Ad] in cutoff. UTG minraised, MP calls, guy to right(villian) calls, I raise to $3. Everyone folds around to villian who calls. He has $20.50 left in front of him.

Pot $6.85 I believe

Flop is [Kh][Kd][6d].

Villian acts first, bets $16, has $4.50 left in front of him. What should I do?

I think my preflop bet might have been a touch high, but it's PP so I figure on one call at least. The problem on the flop is do I put this guy all in or wait for a better opportunity.

I wonder sometimes if the correct answer to all $25 NL questions involving AA isn't - "Go all-in". At higher level, this is an easy fold. At the party 25, its a must call. Sorry it didn't work out this time, though.

Your re-raise preflop is right on.

i'm all-in b/c 1) it's a $25 party nl game; 2) i just posted and look like a wild maniac reraising a big field on my first hand; 3) opponent is certainly fishy.

pf, i would actually reraise more to $5 trying to look extra crazy (and i would get crazy action doing that stuff even on UB).
