Being Ultra-Aggressive

Postby AmrBilliards » Mon Oct 24, 2005 1:01 am

here are my ultra-aggresive stats

AF_F = 3.64
AF_T = 3.00
AF_R = 2.79
VPP = 14.82

3,124 hands played = $152.29 profit ($25NL)

should i slow down a little on the flop and not be so aggressive? I win a few more pots on the flop that way after i raise PF (i usually come out betting on the flop whether or not i hit the flop). would i save more money if i slow down a little when i miss the flop? (if i miss flop and bet and opp pops me back i fold 99% of the time) I just dont want to become predictable at all i just like to put a lot of pressure on my opp whether i have a hand or not on the flop. just looking for input from other players. THANKS!!!

Your aggression numbers look fine.

But you don't need to bet all the time.
Checking is not passive. I cannot overemphasize this.

You do not need to be thinking about being unpredictable at this level.
Only once you are moving beyond $100NL will this start to matter.
The players just don't pay attention to you much until then.

P.S. If you post your winrate, please put it in terms of BB/100 or PTBB/100, it's the standard and easier to compare.

Those aggression stats arent ultra aggressive. They are just about right for a good player. In other words your aggression level looks very nice (but not overboard)

Ice, actually they are 'Ultra-Agressive' as defined in the NL autorates - easily in the top 5% aggression at the $50 NL tables.

AP10 & I were very surpised how passive most players are and initially I set the UA boundaries much higher - but barely anyone except BTP'ers fell into it :shock:

So whilst it m ay not be 'ultra aggressive' as measured against higher stake player, it is 'Ultra Aggressive' for the purpose of low stake player classifications.
