Don't lose your entire stack in an unraised pot or with only one pair.

There is nothing wrong with betting out where you did. The real question is what is Mr. Short Stack pushing with...

For that, we need to know why he's short stacked. Did he just take a big bad beat? Or has he been playing short all session?

I'll assume the latter, so he almost certainly doesn't have AK or KK because he'd have pushed preflop with them if he's the typical short-stack muppet.

So we're down to 23, 22, 33, a flush draw, or a Squeeze Play bluff, right? No way he calls preflop with 23 (we hope), so it's 22, 33, a flush draw, or a bluff.

The flush draw is far more likely.

I usually call this because a) he's a short stack, b) no significant action preflop means he doesn't have a higher King, c) I'll take about even odds that he's on the flush draw or bluff rather than a set.

If Sven calls too, then get nervous. ;)

If he's short because he just took a bad beat, you need to decide whether he's on tilt or not. If tilting, call. If not, fold.

I called because I thought he was on a flush draw. He had 33 - oh, well, NH there. He always plays short stacks to avoid losing too much he says.

Thanks for the answer.
