Sometimes I notice table selection playing a larger roll in the $100 game. Every now and then I find a table too tough sit, but I play six max, if 3:5 opponents are good, the bad opponents better really stink and have big stacks and I might be in horrible position to isolate the bad players. The biggest difference is the money on the table is worth playing for at the $100 game. IMO the smaller games are great to cut your teeth on, but profit is so slow coming that it seems to take forever to build up funds. $100NL I see more use for bluffs, especially if you have picked up on someones bs bet. I think it is where low stakes NL starts to slide from being a card game to a poker game.
Take short steps up, pick a day to add a table, or start off with just one table to get used to the bet and raise sizes. It will seem much bigger to have to fire $8-10 than $4-5 with missed AK.
