2 big ones

$1/$2 NL

#1) This one needs some background. A new guy sits down but mustve left and come back because he has $254. There 2 background hands here before the real one.

a) I raise to $8 with TT. Both blinds call. The flop comes Axx..SB checks, BB bets $6 and I raise to $24. BB calls. Turn is a blank and i bet $50. BB folds and I show. New guy with overstack sees this before he posts.

b) Very next hand. New guy posts in MP. I now have AA and raise to $8. Only new guy calls.

Pot $19. Flop 776. I check lookingto check raise but he checks also.
Pot $19. Turn 5. I bet $15 and he raises to $45. Remember that he just saw me bluff and probably thinks I have AK now. I call.
Pot $109. River another 5. I check. He bets $62 I call and win. He has T9s.

OK, now the real hand. I have $356. he reloaded and won some pots playing aggressively and has $375. I get AA again and raise to $8. He reraises to $24. I havent seen him reraise preflop yet, but he does play strangely and aggressively. Hes obviously not afraid to bluff but now we both have big stacks.

I flat call.

Pot is $51. Flop comes [6s][4s][2c]. I have the [As]. I check, he bets $46. I check raise my large stack all in hoping it looks like an overbet bluff. He saw me bluff before and I think he has KK / QQ. Would you play it this way or try to let him pot commit at the turn. Remember that if a [s], A or K falls, I could lose my action, or even get outdrawn.

************************************************************************************
Hand #2) I raise to $8 in the cutoff with KQ. Only the BB calls.
Pot is $17. The flop comes KJT. He checks and I bet $15. He check raises to $45. I call but I dont like it.

Pot $107. Turn is another K. He checks. I still dont like my hand that much and check behind.

Pot $107. River another T. He bets $60. I call. Only KJ beats me, but i have a feeling thats what he has and hes not calling my reraise all in with it (or at least w/o a king which would just split). Thoughts?

I agree with everyone. How origional.

You setup the overbet bluff perfectly and should get paid off by KK/QQ in the first hand.

The second hand your opponent could have KT as well as KJ in either case the way you played it is correct. He's got a FH somehow with the CR on the flop and check on the turn hoping you get there or bet.

This brings up another good point. If he has KJ or KT here and check raises the flop I think its a mistake for him to check the turn, what do you think and why?

just started to play NL hold'hem so i dont see how i could make a valid comment on the way you play, but i got a question about your opponent play in hand2 it seems to me that his check on turn after the raise on flop his a pretty poor move, could u comment on that as it is something i do quite often and iam not sure its the best play here.

on another note i really enjoy reading your hand analysis and hopefully it will help me improve my game. thank you all guys for that great forum

Normally, checking the turn there is NOT a good play. There was a flush draw on the flop (which I didnt mention) so I guess he was trying to let me catch a flush or str8. He pretty much had the deck crippled. There would be very few cards that could fall that would let me outdraw him so checking isnt horrible, but the object is to stack the other guy. You cant do that if you dont get chips in the pot at every opportunity. The pot was $107 at the turn. If he wouldve bet $40 or so, I wouldve called with trip kings and a str8 draw. Then the pot wouldve been $187 on the river and he couldve pushed in and it wouldve been impossible for me to fold.
