You get Axo in the BB. Multiple limpers, you check.
Flop comes xxy, where x is the card in your hand (you have trips), and y is some card less than ten. No flush draw, no straight draw.
You pot the flop. One opponent calls - he has a full stack, just like you. Turn is some card, you pot the turn, he raises pot. What do you do?
I've come across this situation a lot lately, with mixed results. I'm curious to hear how others would play this.
Some things to consider -
1) Does it matter how high x is? Is 99y all that different from 44y?
2) Should you be willing to go all the way with this against an average opponent, as he will have 9x enough times to make it worthwhile? Or is this foldable?
3) Does it matter how high y is? Is xxT different than xx3?
