Tried the LAG thing today. What a BLAST!

Postby Tordan » Sat Oct 01, 2005 8:01 pm

ok so normally i'm a TAA currently playing nl $25 .10/.25
over the last 1000 hands I'm 18%VPIP 13%PFR 3.5 post flop AF with a BB/100 of 10.15

So today just for a change today I decided to do the LAG thing. For 200 hands I played:
38%VPIP 33%PFR 3.0 AF and i had a BB/100 of 148

basic idea was I would bet any:
suited connector.
face or ace.

If i was in at all i was in for $1 and after that i would either fold or double up.
I had a blast.

Till I lost my whole stack with
[Ad][Kd]
flopped
[Qh][Td][6d]

went all in of course.
didn't fill the straight or the flush. lost to a set of 6s

ah well.
still it was fun.

not sure if it suits me though.

I'm a LAG, and I think you have to be if you play 6-max which I do mostly.

Being a LAG is much more exciting. It's a lot like making your first campfire as a kid. The fire is fascinating and you feel very powerful that you could create such a thing. However, if you're not careful, you'll look down and see your shirt just caught fire when you least expect it.
