Who plays this different?

Postby Suhleafs » Thu Sep 29, 2005 12:54 pm

One of my "leaks" so to speak, sometimes I just have trouble getting paid off....
How should I get more value with this?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed)

UTG+1 ($257.80)
MP1 ($261.15)
MP2 ($280.20)
MP3 ($438.30)
Hero ($440.20)
Button ($171)
SB ($104.35)
BB ($154.95)
UTG ($113.55)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [7h], [7s].
4 folds, MP3 raises to $8, Hero calls $8, 3 folds.

Flop: ($19) [2h], [Ah], [7c] (2 players)
MP3 bets $10, Hero calls $10.

Turn: ($39) [Kd] (2 players)
MP3 bets $10, Hero raises to $30, MP3 calls $20.

River: ($99) [2d] (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero bets $38, MP3 folds.

Final Pot: $137

Results in white below:
Hero has 7h 7s (full house, sevens full of twos).
Outcome: Hero wins $137.

That's pretty much how I play it, and you made half-buyin on that play which is very good. If he had AK you would have stacked him. I think half buyin IS being paid off... :)
