What's the turn play on this one? Should I check it, or is the bet good? If I play the turn, what on the river?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (10 handed)

MP3 ($2851)
CO ($605)
Button ($1970)
SB ($954)
Hero ($4495)
UTG ($515)
UTG+1 ($3381.50)
UTG+2 ($2485.34)
MP1 ($1980)
MP2 ($2000)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Qd], [8d]. SB posts a blind of $10.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $20, 1 fold, MP1 calls $20, 4 folds, SB (poster) completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($80) [Ad], [Qs], [Kd] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $70, UTG+1 calls $70, MP1 folds, SB folds.

Turn: ($220) [Qh] (2 players)
Hero bets $150, UTG+1 raises to $375, Hero?????

I don't like a reraise because you're out of position. I call it, thinking I may have the best hand some of the time, and hit the flush on the river for the others. I call pretty much any river too, By checking you're really setting him up for the bluff.

It would suck if he had AQ or KQ, but without a read, a wide variety of hands are possible.

Ok, on the flop with the flat call, I'd say he could have the following: AJ, 2 pair, JT, or a flush draw. Sets also possible but unlikely in an unraised pot. AQ is also somewhat less likely with the lack of raise (I see most people raising it, although not a definite). KQ is certainly very real. Oh, and I guess UTG+1 really CAN have one of the big pairs in a limp attempt with AA, KK.

When another Q hits on the turn, he raises. I think that eliminates flush draw and AJ. Imo it's most likely JT, KQ or AQ at this point. To the latter, you're drawing dead. To JT you're behind but with a lot of outs. I think I'd lay it down, even if it's better than 50-50 with JT over and against KQ/AQ (plus AA and KK as possibilities).

I guess if we want to get exact here, there are 6 KQ hands out and 6 AQ hands for a total of 12. And there are 16 JT hands out there.

The only thing that might relativize this a little bit is, since you're in BB, you think UTG+1 is putting you on a crappy ace. But I gather that your table image is generally fairly tight. If there's some reason why you might be looking like you might be making a loose stab, then I might make the call. But against players who are typically cautious about playing back at me, I think I'd lay it down (against that type, I think my analysis applies of JT or else made boat).

Also, your opponent is pretty deep, which I think also speaks against continuing with the hand unless you have reason to suspect your opponent of a semi-frivolous attack.

I'd be really worried about a boat.
Limping KK/AA UTG/UTG+1 is not that unusual. I think a flush may only get you destacked...

Hmm, the only hands I can put him on are AA/KK/AK/AQ/KQ, though the flat call on flop is odd with any of these given the flush draw.

Of these you only beat AK (9) and lose (only 1 Q-out for quads) to the rest (12). Also he can hit an A or K on the river.

No reads?
If you stay in and hit ur flush, you will face a really tough decision on the river, he has about 2900$ left...

I fold.

I reluctantly fold too. I'd be too worried about drawing to 2nd (or worse) best hand.

He could have AK and bluff raise his 2 pair. Maybe AJ but that's unlikely UTG+1.

What about a smaller PP limped for set, like 88-TT?? I can really see this play. After your flop bet, he puts you on Ax. On the turn, any A except AQ, even AK is scared of that Q. If he puts you on an A, it makes sense for him to raise the turn and try to take the pot with a 1/2-2/3 pot bet on the river if you just call, since a Q might reraise the turn. How about this possibility?

If he knew you had a Q and he has you drawing thin (the 4th Q), wouldn't he raise more, to have a chance to stack you..? It really helps to know the type of player, if he likes to get value out of a great hand, or raises strong trying to get more of your stack.
