KK out of position

Postby ua1176 » Wed Sep 28, 2005 12:35 am

$50NL @ Prima

Hero ($98) limps UTG+1 w/ [Ks] [Kd]. MP1 ($46) minraises to $1. Button calls, BB calls. i re-raise to $6.50. MP1 calls...Button + SB fold.

flop: [8d] [3d] [2d]
pot size: $14.75

i lead for $14. UTG+1 calls.

turn: [2c]
pot size: $42.75

UTG+1 has $26 left. i cover him by a significant margin. the 100 hands i have on him in PT show him with a 50%VP$IP, 8%PFR. im afraid of a slowplayed AA or a slowplayed flush. at the same time.....i dont want to give a free card to someone with [Ad] Kx or something similar. additionally....not that this means anything...but 10 minutes prior at another table, my KK were cracked by AA, as follows: rock raises...i reraise. he pushes. easy fold except that he's severely shortstacked and i only have to call another $8. but enough whining about that...what do i do here?

i push the turn. The only hands that worry you is possibly 88, 33 or AA with Ad. Otherwise, if you don't have the best hand now, you have outs or you have the best hand and need to charge a draw. I think you got to push this and hope.

Gotta push that turn, I don't think there's any way you're folding if he pushes his $26 so you might as well push it first.

Push the turn and wince when he flips AA and then note that he min raises with it but won't reraise a reraise.

I'm either pushing the turn or if you want to get tricksy, I'd check raise all-in if I felt strong that he'd bet the turn after I checked.

Or confident that he'd be able to fold once he'd committed money. I prefer the push instead of the check raise push.

i can't CR all-in on the turn. there's $42 in the pot and he's got $26 left. if he bets, it's gonna be all-in.

anyway. i pushed. he called w/ AA (no [Ad] though). i missed my 11 outs on the river and he doubled up.
