I'm with JJ about getting 55-60% on your Won $ at showdown. 55-60 should be your goal...could be maybe you're calling a few too many river bets? you'll have to dig into your stats to find the cause.

Lately, I've been curious about a good W$SD percentage. I've read BTPers suggest 55-60% before, but am wondering where that upper limit is coming from. I can understand leaving money on the table, but I feel I'm doing well w/ a higher W$SD number. Any thoughts Kenny? Anyone?

As for myself, over 12.5K hands at UB:

VPIP--15.45
WSD--16.78
W$SD--63.39
WSF--28.54
8.1 PTBB/100

What's even stranger is that over the last 8K of these 12.5K hands I've made a huge change in my game becoming much more aggressive (doubled all my aggression numbers) and my W$SD is higher over these hands at 65.68 with a 12.7 PTBB/100.

The discrepancy BW WIn Rate and SD%

Postby Allstar7 » Mon Sep 26, 2005 9:50 am

Your stats look great...as a basis for comparision...over the first 15K hands I loaded into PT (my most recent 15K hands), my stats are as follows:

VPIP is 24%
AF is 3.3
Went to SD is approx 19%
Won at SD is a dismal 52%

But my win rate is over 18PTBB/100. This not a typo or an exaggeration on a mostly anonymous MB. I am struggling to explain this discrepancy (high win rate and bad SD#). Nearest I can figure is that I am paying off small bets when beat on the river. I am winning more large pots than I am losing, and I guess this is making up the difference.

If thats the case, then I guess I have a decent sized leak on my hands and increasing the SD% from 52 to 56 or 57 will be a substantial boon the my BR. thoughts are appreciated here.
