2/4 NL Bodog

Everyone on the table has about $400.

Dealt 33. MP raises to $20. I call in teh SB.. and the BB also calls. MP is decent. No read on BB.

FLOP$62
8QQ rainbow.

I check. BB bets $28. MP (preflop raiser) folds.

It's back to me. I decide I would bet my life this guy is not leading with a queen or 88. I check-raise to $90. He think for a fairly long time, and folds. My guess is he had something like TT since he took so long to fold.

Thoughts?

I think it's a great move as long as you select the right opponent. It works on most people but some just REFUSE to believe someone else EVER hits trips and will call down with their PP or A high. Against most people this is good though, I like it :)

thanks :)

actually thinking back on it..bodog's donk factor is pretty high. Making plays like this on their site can be sucide. I'm glad he wimped out that time. I guess $90 was a significant enough amount.

Yes, on Bodog 100NL you get called with stuff like that easily, probably even with 22. To get them to fold on a bluff, I really have to fire AK missed on flop, turn and river, and pray I don't lose half my stack. They really are calling stations, I shouldn't bluff them that much...

They fold a lot more at the 2/4 level poker2006. Though, they are still donks :)

Be careful. I made several successful play just like that...then i made a few more and before I knew it, I was doing it all the time which was exactly the cause of my recent meltdown.
