I would fold the river. On another note, I bet $10 on the flop to make him pay more for any draw. On the turn, i take the free card to boat up and I know that checking the turn opens up to a bluff on the river but unless he is chasing a gutshot or something like QT or 89, a good amount of hands beat you.

Why bet so little on the flop with a straith and flush draw? Well, dunno, I'd probably fold without a read.I'm guessing he checked his flush with the added possibility of a straith..

You checked the turn to control the pot and it worked, call.

He might have hearts, he might have JT, he might have a lot of things, checking the turn calling the river is the best play long term.

I think I call here. I think there are several hands that he makes this bet with. You are getting about 3 to 1 on your money and I think you will win with a call more times than that.

You have shown no strength at all. You could have made the same bets with AK unimproved. He could be betting with an unimproved pair or bottom two pair or all sorts of hands that you beat. Gotta call.

I called and he flipped over A[h] 6[h]

In hindsight, I should have bet more on the flop but when he limp/called my x5bb raise out of position I figured he was playing it set or bust with a little pair or perhaps a JJ-KK hand.

I was surprised to see he called with A[h] 6[h].

Interesting hand here.

Do you have any numbers on the BB? If he is a solid player, what would he/she have to call a 5X BB raise from the Big Blind? I seriously doubt he/she has JT. AA and KK would probably re-raise here, right?

Either way, I would definately bet the pot on the flop. If they call, I would probably put them on [Ah]

so a busted flush draw and inside st draw so they try and bluff ya on the river.

I seriously cant believe so many of you are advocating folding. This is an easy call. When you check behind on the turn, your opponent probably thinks you have nothing. Or he could easily be betting TT or JJ or AQ or A9 for value / hoping you'll fold. He could also have a smaller set!

It would take one hell of a read for me to lay this one down.

yes i was also taken back when so many said fold. hell, the check on the turn may induce a river bluff. you have to call with top set.
