I HATE 3 suited flops when I get a set. Sets are hard to get and I feel that I need to play them. 1/2 the time I lose with them.

I would bet the size of the pot and see what happens. You will get riaised by a made hand and called by a flush draw.

The odds for a one [c] draw are 4:1 on the Turn and they are getting 2:1 on their money HU.

You have a 35% to fill by the river.

I flopped a set w/3 [c] and bet out was raised all-in $60 and called. I knew I had the worse of it. I missed my FH.

I flopped a set of 9's w/3 [s] and raised all-in and got my FH - the player is still mad at me since he flopped the nuts with [As] [Js].

I would rather be on the flopped flush side.

This may sound crazy, but I LOVE flops like this when I have a set. Here's why.

I bet 1/3 to 1/2 pot at that flop representing the flush. If they have nothing, they fold and I win.

Sometimes idiots with TPTK will call and I get more with my set.

If they have the A[c] they might call and miss and I get more money with my set.
Or they 4th flush card falls and I shut down without losing much.

OR even better, they have a flush, play back at me and I have an easy decision. I fold to the heat or I boat up and take their stack. If they slowplay it and I boat up, they almost never can fold at that point.

It's win a bit pot or lose a small one which is exactly what I want in every hand.

I make my normal bet but fold if I get too much action. I check behind on the turn..even if it's only one caller. with 6 people in..theres a good chnce someone flopped a flush. try to boat up with the free card.
