Ais... the problem with that that I see is:... 1. Like you said, most of the people in my game aren't letting go of KJ-AK on that flop... and 2. How are you representing the set by raising 4x the origional bettors bet and then betting again at the turn...

Just cause you (and maybe me) raise w/ a set doesn't mean everyone else does... I'd say 75-90% of the players I play with play sets MUCH MUCH MUCH more passively than this..

Isn't the whole point of raising the bettor on the flop so that you can get a free card to the river...? If the normal 2-5 player has KQ there, he's check/calling or check/raising depending on what the turn is and how much you bet... If you lead for $150 and he calls, and you DON'T hit, you're basically pissin away an extra $150 that you didn't need to... Hell, it'd probably be cheaper just calling his flop and turn that way...

He bets $25, you call... Turn he bets $100, you call, you don't hit and fold= you're out $125...

He bets $25, you raise to $100... He check/calls your $150 turn bet and fold to his river push, or check it down (now there's so much in the pot, I don't think he's folding)= you're out $250...

I just think you give some of your opponents too much credit to lay down a hand... Hell, the #1 problem with most B&M players is exactly that they CAN'T lay down the 2nd best hand...

I think if you raise, then check behind, he's gonna throw out a $100 bet on the river like 75% of the time, you bump it up, he calls and you squash his KQ w/ your straight...
