This husband and wife were sitting in their home, eating...suddenly, they looked at each other in shock and surprise and terror! They suddenly ran! It was as if they'd gone crazy! They were running in fear! What happened???

Is this riddle similar to a guy eating albatross soup and realizing that he "accidentally" ate a friend's body while he was stranded on an island many years earlier (the current couple ate the food with the lights out and realized the taste was familiar)?
