Bet the river or check behind... ?

Postby MVPSPORTS » Sun Aug 28, 2005 4:52 pm

I'm tryin to figure out if I should've bet this river... He keeps check/calling every freakin street, which was startin to scare the crap out of me... When the turn hits, I'm like "oh shit... here goes my stack... to his 92o"... Normally, I'm done when he calls the flop bet, but he's a TOTAL MANIAC (VPIP 81%,PFR 22%) ...

i would be pretty sure i was ahead given he checks the river...but i don't think there's any way i'd bet it. the 8 is scary, the whole board is scary. i would need a serious muppet read to value bet here b/c what the heck can he call you w/?

You'll get better responses if you dont give the results. You can give results later if you want, but they rarely have anything to do with whether or not you played the hand correctly.

I check behind also.

Seeing the result I'd like to bet and that might even be correct... but in reality I check behind. Even though I assume a 9 or a boat would put in a raise on the turn I'm just not sure enough to not take the free showdown.
