Hand 1: Party Poker (10 handed), 100NL

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with [Qs], [Qd].
3 folds. Hero raises $5. CO, who just posted $1, calls.

Flop: [Th], [9d], [8h] (2 players)
Pot $12. Hero bets $8. CO calls.

Turn: [7s] (2 players)
Pot $28. Hero checks. CO bets $8. Hero calls.

River: [Js] (2 players)
Pot $44. Hero bets $40. CO calls $37.86 (all in).

Final Pot:

Results in white below:
Hero has Qs Qd (straight, queen high).
CO has Qh Kd (straight, king high).
Outcome: CO wins .

I'm curious how you would play on each street, if you would try to take the pot earlier, if you bet different. Villain just sat down and posted blind in CO. Seeing this maybe I should have raised more preflop, but $5 seems to be a reasonable raise at 100NL.

On the river I thought I was ahead, and was trying to make it look like a steal.

Hand 2: Party Poker NL50 (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [5h], [5d].
MP1 limps. Hero limps. SB completes. BB checks.

Flop: [6d], [Qh], [5s] (4 players)
Pot $2: SB checks, BB checks, MP1 bets $1. Hero raises $3. SB calls $3. BB folds, MP1 folds.

Turn: [4c] (2 players)
Pot $9: SB checks. Hero bets $4. SB raises $8. Hero calls $4.

River: [3c] (2 players)
Pot $25: SB bets $15. Hero folds.

Final Pot: $38.75

Not enough hands on villain to have reads. It's pretty hard to fold sets, I'm not sure if others would have reraised the turn to see if he has the straight?

Hand 1-- I think you played it fine. I like the turn check. Mark this guy as very aggressive (calling and then RAISING with a gutshot).

Hand 2--Not folding a set is okay too, but I actualy think I would have folded. Look at SB's betting pattern. He check/calls the flop (okay he's drawing). He check raises (and its a min raise) the turn (okay he might have hit his draw). He leads the river with 3/5 pot bet (okay he definitely hit it).
