Finally a good day after a week of BS, I played a $5 PLO add on rebuy and rebuy tourney on paradise and won the damn thing. I got really good cards and played very agressive, it felt good to win again. Top prize was only $450 but still a decent payday. It is funny I have now won two MTTs and both of them are PLO, very strange since that is probably my 3rd best game. I also played a $5 mini on PS, which Mitch talked me into. It was funny he and I ended up 1st and 2nd and I finally beat him in a heads up match.

So after winning the Omaha touranment, I decided to play a $25 tourney on paradisem just so I could once again remeber why I fukn hate tournaments. I played well at the begginning, doubled my stack, flopping trips after raising with 67h. Than I doubled up again flopping two pair vs a guy who was trying to limp raise from UTg with AA. Then the fun begins, I get all in preflop vs a short stack with 10's vs his Q9. Flop is a Q and I lose a $3000 chip pot. So I am down to 4000 chips. Next hand I get AQ and get all vs A9 and of course the 9 flops and I lose a 6000 chip pot. I get Aq again and push all in vs A5 and double up. I steal some blinds and am back up to 2500 chips, the blinds are 300/600 with a 50 ante. I am mp with 66 at a short handed table. I push all in with 66 and get beat by AJ. Once again i play well for 3 hrs only to finish 3 spots out of the money. 33rd out of 256. Time well wasted.

I finally had a good day playing live. I played the very fishy 1/3 game at the village club. Max buy is $100, the 2nd hand I play I am the BB with J9o, utg makes it $10, 4 players call. So I call. I look at the dealer and say flop me the nuts. Flops is 1087 with 2 diamonds. I check to the raiser, he bets out $20, someone else goes all in for $120 or so I call so Does the preflop raiser. Preflop raiser has , the other all in player has QQ. Not diamonds hit so I tripple up. I played very tight for a while, I didnt win another pot for almost 2 hrs. Then comes hand 2 I have $220 in front of me after bleeding off chips for the last 2 hrs. I limp from the button with AJ, Flop is AJ8 rainbow, very bad players in ep leads out $20, I call and we are heads up. Turn is the making two hearts on the board. Villian grabs a stack of chips and pushes them in and says I'll put you alll in. I say ok I call and push all my stacks in the middle. He objects saying he only meant to put the stack in his hand in. The floor is called and they side with me. I am now up to $400 or so. I later flop a set of 9's vs a very good player with top 2. Somehow he folds on the river to A $100 bet, it was a nice hand but could have been a lot more if it had been against a bad player. To end my session I take some guys like $50 with Ak vs his AQ. Total sessions was 4.75 hrs with a total profit of $485. I played well and didnt get sucked out. The cards were only so-so. I say J's once and AA once, but I did make some hand and this game was incredably bad.

Another solid session for me. I played at Oceans 11 2/3 nl $200 max buy in. I had one of the most boring +$300 days I can remember. I won a big pot with J9 suited, rivering after everyone checked the flop and turn. I flopped 2 sets and didnt get paid off well on either one. I flopped trips j's and did a decent job of milking a calling station for all I could. I made $308 in 4.25 hrs. Again the difference as usual for me between winning sessions and non winning sessions is I didnt get sucked out in a big pot. I didnt get a pair bigger than 7's in 4.25 hrs of play.

A side note, I feel like I am playing very well. I continue to get better which always makes me feel good. Days like today and yesterday this game seems so easy, though I know it is obviously not always going to be that way. I havent had a big suckout in the last two days so I guess I have been lucky. I am going to take tommorrow off. I am heading to vegas on Monday, I am trying to save enought money I can buy a nicer new car than I can currently afford. As of right now I have enough for a 2000ish Homday Civic but if I can come up with about 4k more I can buy an Integra which is what I really want. This Vegas trip is pretty much strictly business, I am going by myself. I am not going to drink or party. I am pretty much going to play poker for the 3 days I'm there.

On a personal side note, I weighed in at 204 yesterday which means I have lost 11 lbs since Aug. My goal was to be at or under 200 by september 1 and I most of the way there. I also plan on spending some time in the exercise room at the Boardwalk while I am there. After Vegas I think I am going to make a run up to Nor. Cal and see my mom. Of course while I am there I will probably check out some casino action.

Nota great day for me today. I played at the Village club again. First I played 3/6 O8 while I was waiting for NL. First hand I play I have 4 7, it is a kill pot and I am the SB, flop is 67K with two diamonds. Just about every possible draw you could ask for, a bunch of way to scoop. There are 8 people to the flop as usual. I bet and get 6 callers, the button raises. I dont want to scare off my action so I decide not to 3 bet. Turn pairs the damn 6. It checks around and the river is a 9. Grrr great start. I ended up making about $15 in o8 just due to the loose passive players.

So next is NL. The max buy is $100 which sucks since most of the table has more than $500. First hand i play, I am CO, a long time favorite fish I know raises to $20 from Ep, 4 players call. I look down at AA, well here is going to be some fun. I push all in, fishy pushs all in over the top for $500 or so and one other player calls. Flop is J22 and fish has JJ, I dont improved. The other player had QQ so somehow the worst hand got to take the $400 pot. Next hand i play is J9s, this is the same hand that I played and flopped a str8 with two days before. So as crazy luck would have it, I again ask please flop me the nuts. Flop us JJ9, again I flop the nuts. I call a bet on the flop, and then fishy goes all in for his last $55 on a flush draw on the turn and he is drawing dead.I am up to $230 or so. Next hand is again , this time the flop is K94 with one club. Ep bets $10, another player calls so do I. Turn is the , no I have a flush draw with my second pair. It gets checked to me I bet out $30 and get 3 callers. on the river. Mp bets $20 which to me looks like a blocking bet, I raise to $60 he thinks and pushs all in and has me covered. I call and he turns over for a bigger flush.

Todays totals -200, in 3.5 hrs of play.

Just got back from Vegas, it was a good trip, I will write a full report in the morning. Right now its 3am and I need some sleep..

To start my Vegas report I would like to say I hate cars and for some reason my cars like to break on the way to Vegas. I left San Diego at 6am, my cars AC doesnt work so I was going to try to avoid as much desert heat I could. I got to around Baker CA before my car decided to overhead going up one of the big hills on I-15. I looked down just to see that the needle was in the red, I pulled over to find my car peeing coolent out the overflow tank. I ended up sitting and watiing for about 30 min til it cooled down, I dumped some water bottles into it made it the rest of the way. I will say waiting for a car to "cool down" in 110 degree heat was not my idea of a good time.

Day 1:

So I made it to Vegas at around noon. I couldnt check in for a couple of hours so I walked to bellagio to play. I got put at a good table, lots of action and lots of TV players. Reraise with 8's and such. So first hand of not, I look down at 88. I limp from MP, BB makes it $15 3 players call I call. Flop is K84, Ep bets $50, I smooth call, and the original raisor calls. Turn pairs the 4, Now i know I'm good they both check I bet $50 trying to get them both to come along, they both fold, I have no idea what the hell they were playing that they would fold to $50 into a now $200 pot. So I'm up to $450. About an hour later I get 77 in the blind. I call a $20 raise from the ABC player in MP, flop is KQ7, I check he bets $50. I call everyone else folds. Turn makes the second diamond. I check he bets $60, I check raise to $160, he thinks about it and pushs all in, he covers me. I call he has AK and is drawing dead. Very nice double up. I ended up cashing out close to $1000 after buying in for $200. Total profit $732 in 4.25 hrs.

Session #2 for day 1. I played the 2/5 at the Mirage, $500 max buy in. Only two big hands to talk about. Hand 1 I have 88 call a raise from the action player, flop is K83 eith one heart. I check he bets $80. I call. Turn is the 2nd heart, I check he bets out $100, I check raise to $300, he thinks about it and calls. River is the 3rd heart, he pushs all in for $150 or so more. I have to call he turns over for the backdoor flush. Bye bye stack #1. So I call him names under my breath and rebuy. A couple of hands later I am the button I limp with , same player as before min raises from the BB, 4 players call so I call too. Flop is [10s] x. BB bets $40, mp raises to $120, I consider folding but see the guy behind me counting out chips so I decide to call . on the turn, I have the nuts. BB checks , raisor goes all in for $200. I call BB folds, he said he had AQ, other player has A10 he doesnt improved and I win a nice pot. Overall down $113 over 4.5 hrs.

Day 2:

Session 1: MGM 2/5 Nl game, I played well. The first major hand I got QQ Vs the one fish at the table. I raised, he min raised which concerned me. He only bought in for $200, I decided to push. He insta called which scared me, he has AK, and I actually won a coin flip. Later in the session I limp with AK, flop is AK8, short stack to my right right bets $50, I call player behind him raises from the button to $100. I am pretty sure he was on a flush draw, bettor calls, I raise to $300 he thinks about it and calls. The turn is a Jd, I push him all in. He thinks about it and calls. The river is A, I have the nuts and win a big pot. Then the one very bad play I made on the trip. I call a small raise with from the button. Flop is , he bets $50, I call. Turn is a blank, I check, he checks behind. I miss the river, I decide I'm going to bluff. Stupid Stupid Stupid this guy is a total fish. This bluff out of position vs a good player works well because it looks like I was trying to check raise the turn and he checked behind. The Kid calls $150 with 99 and tells me he almost raised. Bluffing a calling station well i guess we all make mistakes. I was pissed at myself so I decided to call it an end to my session. + $540 5.25 hrs

Session 2: Went back to the room got some food and decided to try out the Wynn. The first game I played there was not so great. First off they use $3 chips which makes it very hand to count the pot and how much someone is betting which I didnt like. Took two pretty good suckout from the same guy. I get AQ this guy raises to $12, I call flop is Q87. He bets $18, I raise to $60. He calls, turn is the king, he bets out $60 and I fold and tell him I think he just got really lucky. He shows me KQo Grrrr. Next hand I get 810 in thw blinds, flop is J108. i check he bets out $21, I raise to $60 again. He calls turn is a J, grrrrrr. He checks I check. I'm pretty sure I'm drawing dead now. He bets $60, I fold again. He show J9 a pair and a gut shot. This table was completely dead so I moved tables, the 2nd table was absoluletly crazy. I posted the str8 vs flush hand in anything goes that was funny. I limped from the CO with flopped trips and won $200 from a Sammy Farha wannabe who limped from mp with AA and couldnt fold them. I flopped two pair with A10 and got someone all in who had QQ (Dont ask). I wish I had sat at the crazy table all night, $473 in 5.75 hrs.

Day 3: I played 3 different sessions at the bellagio, not as good tables as in the first day. Rough hand in the firts hour. I raise with flop is [10h] so I have a double gut shot and a flush draw. I bet 420 on the flop, turn is an offsuit 9. I bet $40 get raised by one of the idiots at the table I push in thinking we both have a Q but I am freerolling my flush draw. He turns over KQo, i miss my 12 outs and lose my first stack. $-227 hrs 3.25

Session #2: I get QQ against the table wacko, He raises to $75, i make it $200. He calls flop is all unders, I push all in, he folds. I win. I made a nice lay down with AQ tptk, after getting min raised I folded someone else pushed all in with KQ and the min raiser had a set. +$403 in 2.75 hrs

Session #3: Played a quick sessions after dinner, before I left, only one big hand. I had K9 in the BB, flop is 997, I check. Villian bets out $30, I call. Turn is a 4 with the 2nd diamond, I check he bets $60, I push all in, he calls he has J9, river is a 7 we chop. -$3 in 2.5 hrs.

On a personal note, I am very happy with the way I played in Vegas I only made one bad play in almost 30 hrs of play. I went thought my number from my spreadsheet and I am making more than $60 per hour playing in Vegas and this is for almost 100 hrs. The games are so good that if I get a run of cards, I can make some big numbers. I was looking through the papers at cars. I really want to get an Integra, I was origianlly going to buy a Civic but if I am going to spend 10k on a car I want something that is going to be fun to drive and something reliable, and air conditioning will be a major plus. I think I need to make another 2500 or so to be able to afford the Intergra so I am going to try to make 2 more Vegas runs between now and when school starts. I am thinking I am going to go back next week. Maybe Wedneday through friday or something like that. My totals for the trip were $28.5 hrs $1754 at $61.54 per hr. Next week I definatly wont be staying at the Boardwalk, I was kind of annoyed to find out that they dont have internet access in the rooms. I brought my laptop and couldnt really use it.

On a weird side note, I went the entire 28+ hrs without seeing AA and I only saw KK once and that was in the last 2.5 hrs I was there. I dont know if I just notice it more than other people but I seem to go through some weird runs like this, I had a 30 hr run without AA, not that I'm complaining I had a good trip.

Also for the first time in my life someone called me a great player. This guy floped 2nd set and lost to top set and he looked at me and said "you are a great player would you have been able to fold that." The answer was of course hell no, but it was a nice compliment. I tol him that I want working at the moment just playing poker, his wife said I was now his idol, it was funny. He asked me if I thought if he worked on his game a little he could be a pro. He was such a nice guy I couldnt come to tell him no way.

I dont even know how to summerize today as a whole. I played 5.25 hrs at commerce in LA. I would say it was a horrible day, some of the beats were pretty bad, but as it stands I'm only down $55, with how the day went I think is pretty damn good.

Hand 1: I posted this in the NL section so I will keep this short. I flopped a str8 from the BB, I checkraised the flop, got called by the origanal raiser. Blank on the turn, I make a big bet that leaves me with very few chips left and get beaten by a rivered flush.

Hand 2: The usual fun stuff, I flop top 2 after limping with AQ. Flop is AQ4, I bet out get called, turn is a Q, I bet out bigger this time and get raised. I push all in and get instantly called but 44, river is the quad 4 and bye bye to another stack of chips.

Hand 3: I raise to 30 preflop from the BB with KK, get 3 callers the flop is of course an A and I check fold, the same stupid old man with his 44, was the first to call my raise with A3o, he ended up getting sucked out by a lady who had flopped a flush draw. Grr

Hand 4: Some revenge on the old man, I check from the BB with A10o, flop us KQ8, checks around, Turn is the 9. Checks around again, river is the J, I lead out $15 he min raises to $30 i push all in, no flush on board he calls with 105o.

Hand5: More revenge vs the old man. He makes is $15 to go from Ep, I call with 67s, flop is 742, I check, he bets $25 I call turn is a 10. I check he bets $35, I call. River is another 10 he bets $35 I call. I had him on AK the whole time but he turns over AJ and I still win. He was very easy to read his betting patterns if he had had an overpair he would have pushed much harder.

Finally the only man leaves and so does the lady and the table is dead so I leave. Another 5 hrs without AA, weird how these things happen to me when I play live. And I think I am now ahead of Monk on the who has been one outted the most this year so far.

I'm at my moms and without a car for a couple of days, so I decided to play a couple of $20 STG on paradise, i was having some good success. they are relatively low stress and being the lag at the end is fun.

STG #1 Really cold cards, lost the first 38 hands I played, finally won blinds two hands in a row With A10 and 99, then one more round with bad cards and I am in the BB with 69d with the blinds 150/300 and me starting the hand with 550 chips. I lose to a4o and go out on the bubble.

STG #2 Won a big hand early by flopping a set of 7's vs a bad player who called my all in with Ax with an Ax with an A on the board. Flopped TPTK with AK only to get sucked out by a 5 outter on the river. The only good news is the moron checked and I checked behind to save myself some money. I limped my way into 3rd with 1700 in chips. Went all in vs the big stack who was a really crappy player with my A7c busted but A4o as he spiked a 4 on the river.

My mom will be home soon I may ask to borrow her car and go play live.
