A5s

Not my favorite but I do like the nut flush potential as well as the outside straight chances....(not a huge pot by any stretch and please do not intrpret this is a bad beat story but I was just wondering what could be learned from this)

10 seated 25NL party $7.40)

ME in cutoff [ As, 5s ]
MP calls (0.25)
ME calls (0.25) ($30 stack) (table has been loose passive and reckless has played just about every hand and has been getting lucky)
rekless222 on the button calls (0.25) (has big stack)
SB calls (0.15)
BB checks. ($25 stack)
5 players see flop $1.25: [ Ad, 7c, Ac ]
SB checks. BB bets (0.25) MP folds.

ME A5s raises (1) to 1 (Yes I have trips. while I was not here for the ace potential 5 handed, I feel that any flush draw might go away with the paired board and so so odds. Drawback is I have no kicker and there is a good chance the case ace is in one of the 3 remaining hands and I am guessing the BB has it with the weak bet? maybe calling here is better but that is why I am posting!)

rekless222 calls (1) SB folds. BB calls (0.75)
4.25 in pot ** Dealing Turn ** : [ 4h ]
BB bets (0.25) what is with these smallish bets?
ME calls (0.25) I am clueless but think I am behind and will take the cheap river?
rekless222 calls (0.25)
5.00 in pot** Dealing River ** : [ 6c ] great, the flush is filled
BBbets (0.25) again, a weakish bet
ME calls (0.25) again, I will call with these odds
rekless222 raises (0.50) to 0.50 too small a bet for the steal, he has the clubs!
BB calls (0.25)
ME calls (0.25)
** Summary **
Main Pot: $6.20 | Rake: $0.30
Board: [ Ad 7c Ac 4h 6c ]

rekless222 balance $43.75, bet $2, collected $6.20, net +$4.20 [ 2c 9c ] [ a flush, ace high -- Ac,9c,7c,6c,2c ]
BB balance $21.10, lost $2 [ 8h 8d ] [ two pairs, aces and eights -- Ad,Ac,8h,8d,7c ]
ME balance $28.20, lost $2 [ As 5s ] [ three of a kind, aces -- As,Ad,Ac,7c,6c ]

again, the biggest of pots but just curious as to if I played it 'ok'?

Flop - Good raise. Don't sweat the case A unless there's huge action coming back at you.

Turn - Should have raised the size of the pot.

River - You could push, representing a boat, but the flush would probably have called. Nothing you can do here. You can't fold for another 25 cents.

"I really thought the BB had the A." That's fine, but (IMO) you still need to bet at least half the pot on the turn to find out. If you get a big reraise you can dump it. If he doesn't have the other A he will fold and then you're HU against the flush draw -- who you have charged too much for his draw.
