Med / Small PP vs Solid Players

Postby DaHitDogg » Mon Aug 22, 2005 4:32 pm

No specific hand, just a theoretical question here. Let's say you limp in EP w/ 4s and a player you respect (tight, solid, not a lot of mistakes) raises in MP and everyone folds back around to you. Do you ever fold here ? If your opponent is capable of folding an over pair when you flop a set I don't see how this situation is going to be profitable over the long run. Any thoughts ? (oh, this is assuming full stacks)

Well I would fold if his stack is not big enough (u already know that). I think if he is the kind of player you can't stack it makes it hard. You can lead into him on the flop and if he raises you C/R him on the turn. With this kind of player you may have to play ur set a lil slower to try to get max for it. It may noit even be worth it. Ill still try. You dont need to stack him just get your 8-1 on your call. Which should not be too hard. Tell me what you think??
