TT hand.

Bodog 0.5BB NLHE.

I m OTB and Im dealt [Ts] [Tc]. Three limpers and I raised to $2.5. I have $53 in front of me. SB calls and MP calls.

SB is fishy with $26. MP is kind of tigh and passivet...but thats about all I can say. I have three tables and no GT+ in BODOG.

Flop $7. [6s] [9c] [2s]. Both players check. I bet 5., SB calls , MP folds.

Turn. $16.5. [4d] Fish checks. I bet $10, he calls. (what does he have?)

River $35. [3d] Fish checks. He only have about 5 left and I bet that. he thinks forever and calls. Flips a pair of queens and take the pot.

He is a fish. I thought he was in some kind of A9. He thought for a while before calling and I suposed he had a weak hand. He had been calling like that a lot. But not to the showdown really. He seemed to be chasing to the rivera and then folding. I noticed that and tag him as the table fish.

I find myself on that situation too much. Some people like to slowplay aces or kings against me. Should it be because my image is maniac ish? is that good?

Today I busted a couple cute guys slowplaying AA and KK when I flopped two pair after raising PF with soooooted connectors. Uhmm.. I am stealing my own post...

What the hell am I doing wrong with these hands (TT-JJ)??? I am starting to hate those..

I check the turn, esp. since you raised x5bb pf.

Checking the turn accomplishes:
1) Pot control. Your flop bet was called and you don't know where you are in the hand. Does he have a set? Maybe. How about an overpair? Maybe and if he does its likely beating TT. You're really only ahead of A9. Most hands that call the flop bet are beating you.
2) Gives you information for the river. You check (shows some weakness) and now fishy will bet the river fearing you'll just check behind him again. So how he bets the river tells you things. Check/call the river depending on size of his bet.
3) Gives your future turn checks more credibility. There will be times when you check the turn because you are drawing, etc. More credibility there.

Sure if he was drawing to a flush, checking the turn gives him a free card; however, if he's calling a x5bb pfr with a flush draw, then you'll probably get him to pay you off in other ways.

Trodgers,

I understand the point of checking the turn. I only thought I was ahead, because he was sooo fishy.

Layneqt,

I dont know if he would have called that being behind. I have noticed that you can MILK the fish by betting every street but it seems they dont like to call all ins. I also like the TT limping... if could be very profitable, but that woould put in in the position of playing for a set only, right?

i wouldn't say TT is exactly a milking hand in this spot...but yeah i see your point about not going all-in. that's actually something i'm apt to point out to others, too. :)

if you limp pf, yeah, mostly you are playing for the set. but you still have some room to manuever on the flop w/ a decent hand last to act.
