Devil's fishing and I have the hooks!

Postby Mavman » Sun Aug 21, 2005 2:00 pm

So I ran into MVPSPORTS at the lowly $50 games at Pokerplex, and under his wonderful guidance, I have figured out how to post a hand. Now I might actually figure out how to play in some goofy situations. So come one come all and explain this glorious downfall. What does this man/woman/devil have on the flop and what do you do on the turn? Does anyone play this differently? Oh yeah and thanks MVP for letting the rock between us take all the money I was trying to give to you.

Thanks everyone.

This is read dependant. I probably call against an aggressive player. Against a total rock, I fold. Since you called - what did you put villain on?

Pretty weak call PF by Villan, but I understand his play from that point on... Hell, I may call a raise w/ 89s... Once he flops the open-ender w/a pair, he's not going anywhere, especially considering he's got you on a big pair, and if he hits, he's got your stack...

That's one of those cases where your "perfect" card was also his...

By the way he played the hand, I thought it was more likely that he had trip 9s than the straight... That's the new thing, is to bet into the PF raiser when you hit a big hand...

Yeah, I didn't mind the way he played it, OTHER than the PF call...
