Another lesson I've learned at BTP is how to play SCs in a raised pot. When I first started, if someone raised pf x4BB, well that's AA or KK right so I'm going to fold my little 56s. Now I cannot click the call button fast enough (if the raiser has a big stack at least 10% greater than his raise).

Is 56s going to beat AA often? Nope. But, when you hit with 56s, you can often take his entire stack because AA cannot see your strength and has trouble letting go of the premium pocket pair he has been waiting SOO LONG to get.

For example from the weekend. Hero has 67s, Villain has AA and raises x4bb and is called only by Hero.
Flop = K,6,7. Hero leads with 1/2 pot sized bet. Now, the villain thinks hero has AK or something so he raises. Hero calls
Turn= brick. Hero feigns weakness again. Villain blasts, Hero is all in. Villain calls.

LESSON= With SCs vs Big Pockets you are not going to win very often, but when you do the payout is worthwhile. With a SC, you are only gambling the pf raise; however, your opponent is often gambling for his entire stack.
