What notes to keep??

Postby Zuccala » Sat Aug 20, 2005 12:41 pm

Hey guys. I have a note book that I keep accurate records of players that i encounter. I keep track of things like : the size of PFR nd positon it came from with what cards, what the bet on the with certain holdings. i also try to give a general characterizationn of them as well. Loose, Aggro, passive, tight. Is there anything else that you think would be benifical for me to track.

do you actually keep a note book or are you asking about what notes to put when noting players on different sites? Using an actual notebook seems cumbersome.

I have a note book in my computer that I use to enter characteristics of players. I was just curious if there are some other important things you guys keep. I am kinda old school i guess!!

What does min raise preflop mean?

What about min raise during the hand?

Will he bet AK unimproved on the flop AND turn?

WIll he check with KK if an ace flops?

Does he call raises with anything strange?

Does he play J6s? If so, hes a chronic flush chaser and you nned to act accordingly when theres a flush draw avail and hes in the hand

Does he limp AA and or KK?

WIll he raise a draw?

When he raises preflop, does he bet more when he hits the flop...and only bet 1/2 pot when he misses?

There are plenty more, but these shoudl give you an idea.

I usualy keep notes when someone does something out of the ordinady.

On party there are lot of flush chasers or any two suited card players os I have a lot of those notes.

I also like to make betting pattern notes. Min raises with a monster, or pushs all in with a monster.

Anything that will help me about hand play. I used to take notes "fishy" until I realized later that this helped me absolutely none with how this guy plays hands.
