I've always used PT and GT Plus together. I can't say it dominates my play but at the end of the day it does help me make better decisions when I play. I don't really understand people who point out you cannot have it when playing B & M, I don't see this as relevent as I am sure no one plays 3 plus tables at once B & M.
I tend to use GT Plus to build up a profile table. As Ice pointed out is easy to spot the action players but I am not normally as worried about them, its the quite guys I don't like. GT Plus just tends to help me focus my attention where it needs to be on the table. While this is not meant to be fool proof its an aid. It helps me to play 3 tables and have good knowledge on all. This way the notes I make tend to be more around how the guys plays, his betting and raising standards etc and his standards of cards. All this when put together means I have an edge at the table and thats what I want.
I don't see how you can put down that something is right or wrong in using GT Plus, its whatever works for you. Its taken me a little while to get everything set up so I have the information I need and nothing more. Now I cannot imagine not using it. This isn't a crutch to my game since without I would just play less tables but right now I am playing to beat the game, make as much money as possible and play the best I can. If there is a legal edge out there I am using it.
