Read Jan Fishers effort on writing the dullest, most self-congratulatory, craptacular article ever. If you manage to read the whole article without either worrying about if you'll ever wake from the coma you feel yourself lapsing into, or feel the need to build a death satellite, quite simply, you have won.

I've no idea who she is and why she churns out the same life-wasting articles, I'd rather read about 7 card stud. I HATE 7 CARD STUD!

Now go waste 2 minutes of your life:

But this is my 'favourite':

"I recognized when these shirts didn’t look good, so please do the same. Also, there are those shirts with the slogans that seemed so funny and cute when you bought them. Are they really funny or are they offensive, vile, vulgar, or crude?"

i failed. I forced myself to read the first few paragraphs but degraded to reading the first couple words and then skipping the paragraph.

I tried, I truly tried and failed miserably....

I just skimmed most of it...let's see...muscle shirts are out, cleavage is out, and she will tell you if you have broccoli stuck in your teeth...I think that about covers it!! Methinks she better stick with playing online and QUIT WRITING!!! Geez....Awful crap.....

I did the same thing as bri (read the first couple words and then move on), except I didn't even make it to the end of the first paragraph before I did that, and I never did make it to the end of the article. I just got fed up and closed the window rather than scrolling down.

I started to read this.

What is wrong with it is that it is written like complete bullcr*p. It sucks sucks sucks as a piece of writing.

In other words, it is EXACTLY like 70% of the student essays I used to have to read back when I was a professor.

Imagine having not only to READ that, but having to GRADE that. Except that it's 10 pages long. And then having 99 more just like it to read and grade, on similar subjects, and they all have to be done this week because grades are due. You have to figure out which pieces of crap writing are slightly better or slightly worse than the other pieces of crap writing. And you have to write comments on all of them, and sound positive when doing so.

Ugh.

No wonder most professors don't take grading seriously after a few years in the business.
