Couple of 99 hands

Postby odogg » Thu Aug 18, 2005 6:49 pm

99 in middle position. 200 NL and I have just sat down. One person limps and I make it 6. Guy immediately after me is a short stack and pushes for 28. Folded around and the small blind who has a bit more goes all in for 30. 24 more to call to short stacks.

Your action?

99 middle position again (200 NL). I have 320 and the UTG player who is brand new to the table makes it six to go. I call as does the button.

Flop comes A 9 3 rainbow.

He fires right out. I again have not been willing to slow play lately so I just pop him back. He thinks for a few seconds and reraises me the min. I sit there for a while and think about how I am going to lose 200 dollars as I push all in.

Christmas in August this dude flips over AQ off. Possibly the worst call I have seen in months.

I really needed that second hand.

Fold hand 1

Hand 2, i probably smooth call the flop because you may scare him away with the all in. If you call, he will fire again on the turn so you can get him more likely to call all in on the turn as the pot is bigger and he's more committed.
