10/20 NL Posts on 2+2

Postby droqqa » Thu Aug 18, 2005 5:03 pm

Never really checked out the 2+2 forums until today. I really cant believe some of the advice I read on that site. They advocate such an aggressive style - it seems that if they have an overpair, they are not folding. Does anyone follow along with that forum?

They are also obsessed with the 50/100 NL players on UB. They talk about Spirit Rock like he is God. Give me a break. I always see lurkers chatting in the 10/20 party windows and just laugh. I cant even imagine what the 50/100 on UB is like.

Dont get me started with 2+2. Alot of people hate me over there for some reason.

I know this. Most of them talk about poker a whole lot better than they play it. I say that with 1st hand knowledge because Ive played alot of them without them knowing it.

Ive read alot of hand histories over there where I was either in the hand or at the table watching the hand and I recognized the hand from the post. Because of that, I know several posters screen names, but they dont know mine. Ive had alot of success against some of the so called "respected posters".

The avg age over there is about 23, but theyre all experts.

Dont get me wrong, there are some very knowledgable people over there as well.

drogga, were you reading the Mid, High Stakes Pot Limit/NL section over there @ 2+2?
I try reading that stuff from time to time but I don't even care for their forums format nor the childish behavior alot of them exude.

Ice, I can't understand how you have time to

A.Work a full time job
B.Play high stakes online poker
C.Post here @ BTP
D.Post at the UPF
E.Post at 2+2 (I just search for your name and then read the posts' you have posted or responded to)

You have to be a busy man! :)

As far as the 2+2 and UPF who are some of the others who post in these forums whose opinions you do respect?

I have also seached around for those posts' @ 2+2 where you were in disagreement with "the crew" over there but I really could not find much. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but........

This will always be my favorite forum and I'm glad I found it right away before plowing through the sewage that are alot of other forums.

I dont think they let observers chat in the big games on UB.

I have actually PM'ed the moderator in MHSNL and asked him to move the observed UB hands to another forum. I haven't got an answer.

Iceman, you should really start posting on 2+2 again. When you post a hand or a question there, it always turns into a good thread (your hand against kinderf, raising small pairs preflop comes to mind)

the good thing in 2+2 imho is the Other Poker forum because it's rare to see discussion about Triple Draw and other silly games..

Hey, I still actively post at UPF! Dave Scharf is the new host and he's pretty active (and a very good player). Sadly Roy Cooke has moved on.

I couldnt agree more. Ive tried a few different things that I picked over there and most of them have failed horribly.
