Party Poker (6 max, 4 handed)

***** Hand History for Game 2554969257 *****
$200 NL Texas Hold'em - Thursday, August 18, 03:40:25 EDT 2005
Table Table 49001 (6 max) (Real Money)
Seat 3 is the button
Total number of players : 5
Seat 2: megamirth ( $249.45 )
Seat 4: jony96 ( $299.25 )
Seat 6: ccrosnoe (BB) ( $689.27 )
Seat 5: ToastedMoses (SB) ( $222.10 )
Seat 3: donghyun (Button) ( $105.50 )

Preflop: ToastedMoses is SB with [3c], [3h].
megamirth folds.
donghyun calls [$2].
ToastedMoses calls [$1].
ccrosnoe raises [$5].
donghyun calls [$5].
ToastedMoses calls [$5].

This is maybe the 15th hand or so and I have no real reads on anybody. I'm putting ccrosnoe on big cards or big pocket pair. No sense of what donghyun is playing, though limp call so don't think he has anything too big.

Flop: [Ts], [3d], [6d] (3 players) Pot: approx. $18

Nice. Hit the set in a raised pot, time to get the money in...

ToastedMoses bets [$7].

My strategy here if I'm early to act is to make what looks like a feeler bet into the raiser hoping he has a big pocket pair and comes over the top.

ccrosnoe calls [$7].
donghyun raises [$40].

Well... this is what I was looking for, but the wrong guy raised. Slowplaying big pair? Making a steal? Semibluff on flush draw? If he also made a set I'm screwed but the money is all goin in the middle ...

ToastedMoses raises [$93].
ccrosnoe is all-In [$675.27]

Balls! What the hell is this ... Does HE have a bigger set? At this point I have half my stack in. Does anybody fold here? I thought there was a good chance I was against a bigger set but the consesus on this site (and from what I've read elsewhere) is that if you are unlucky enough to be set over set you're just gonna have to pay them off. This is usually my mentality but with bottom set and this much action I came very close to laying this down. The amount I'd already invested and the fact that the table was 5 - handed, and that I had no reads put me over the edge to a VERY relucant call.

donghyun is all-In [$58.50]

ToastedMoses is all-In [$115.10]

Sigh ... This is gonna be messy.

Turn: [4d] (3 players)

Crap ... and now the flush gets there.

River: [4h] (3 players)

Nice! Flush dead ... maybe I can salvage a side pot.

Final Pot:

Results in white below:

ToastedMoses shows [ 3c, 3h ] a full house, Threes full of fours.
ccrosnoe shows [ Td, Tc ] a full house, Tens full of fours.
donghyun doesn't show [ 6h, 6s ] a full house, Sixes full of fours.
ccrosnoe wins $467.17 from side pot #2 with a full house, Tens full of fours.
ccrosnoe wins $233.20 from side pot #1 with a full house, Tens full of fours.
ccrosnoe wins $314.50 from the main pot with a full house, Tens full of fours.

Holy Crap!! Set over set over set ... i was completely boned from the start. Has anybody ever seen this? And at a short handed table no less!

I'm playing that pretty much the same expect I probalby push earlier after the $40 raise.

That's really nutty especially since it was 4 handed.

I don't really ever worry about set over set.
