does anyone have any suggestion on how to play aks from the blinds. Example would be like if someone raise from middle or late position and u hold aks, do u reraise with it?? Other like if alot of limpers limp do u raise with it???? I only have a 72k sample and are so far playing aks very poorly from the blinds so if anyone who are good at this and would like to share their knowlege with me please post.

Against more than a couple of limpers I like a strong pre-flop raise to take down hand or isolate and then betout the pot on the flop with AKs inthe blinds.

Against a raiser it is very read dependent - I have done all of folded, flat called and played hit or fold, flat called and bet out even when missed, min re-raised, pot re-raised and pushed all-in - it depends on who the raiser is.

Against a total unknown I probably flat call and bet out (hit or miss) if heads up on the flop..

This is very read dependant. Theres no cookie cutter answer.

If the raiser only raises 2% of his hands, I would flat out fold. If he raises alot, I reraise. Theres a wide range of possible actions.

If you come up against someone who is aggressive preflop and raises say 10-15% of their hands, how do you play the AK from the blinds post flop?

Say in a $1-$2 game he raised from MP to $6. Everyone folds to you in the BB with AK. You reraise to $15 and he calls. The flop comes 3 7 J (suits don't matter). Say you throw out a continuation bet of $20 and he raises you to $50. Do you let it go then? What if he flat calls your bet and another low card comes on the turn. Do you fire at it again?

I think I know you answer already and that would be it depends on the player. But for the sake of this question lets assume the player is aggressive, but you have not seen him showdonw any hands so you do not have a great read on him.

In the case you mention above, I would say a fold is in order. If i were against a single opponent it would deffinatly dependant on a few things. Did he raise from EP?MP?LP? Also what type of player is he. If it was a raise from a rock in EP I may fold. If it was from a maniac in LP I would re-raise. Overall against one oppeonent you can't really go wrong by calling and having a look-see at the flop IMO.

i play UB $25/50. against a raiser of course it's read-dependent like everyone says. if there is a caller or two, really the only time i'll reraise is against a bad shortstack(s), in which case i'll reraise all-in. o/w ppl tend to call and then you're stuck playing a big pot out of position w/ AK which sucks.

against a field of limpers, i also would rarely raise. if the table has been tight/weak and you're confident a continuation bet on any flop will take it down, then definitely raise...but in a case like that, you really could do that w/ any 2 cards.

overall, i like just calling w/ AK from the blinds b/c it disguises your hand. when you just call, you can much more easily get paid off by AQ and AJ (God bless the ppl who raise AJ).

i am also much more likely to make a play w/ AKs b/c: 1) it's prettier; 2) AK is objectively a strong hand and should be played like it at least every once in awhile.
