Yep. Once he calls your pot bet on the flop, I slow down.

When i make a pair with JT, I try to give it very little weight. You are almost always outkicked unless the other guy is a total fish.

did you put him on a K or a draw? if you put him on a draw this is a fine play, but if you tried to get him off a weak K i really wouldn't try that. it really looks like he has a weak king.

it usually seems best to call a LAG and use his aggressiveness in your favor. Palman, one of the ultimate LAGs, once said that trying to play LAGs aggressive was a huge mistake.

Also, if you want to tread near the Fancy Play end of the pool, I find that doing tricky things versus a LAG works (e.g., check raising big on a scare card). Often, LAGs expect their opponents to hunker down and wait for opportunities with made hands. You are representing that.

Well a minibet like that is usually either a post oak bluff or a draw so when he called I figured he was on a draw (I'm not trying to push him off a K). Which is why I check/call the river since I can beat a busted draw but nothing else.
