Three folds at 400NL

Postby Kalle » Sun Aug 14, 2005 5:32 am

1. 10-handed. Rock (13/3/2) limps in MP, I raise to $16 in CO with black kings. Only rock calls. He has $500 and I cover. Flop is [6c][5d][3c]. He checks to me and I bet $30, He checkraises to $100. My notes on him says "Checkraises $20 bet to 60 with a set in raised pot. Ok I think. Passive preflop". I fold. But it felt strange.

2. I limp on button with 43s after four limpers. Blinds play. Flop is [6s][4h][3h]. $26 in pot. First limper bets $12, 1 caller, 3rd limper (a little loose but not bad) raises to $40. We all have $400+. I fold. Meh.

3. Another table. UTG and UTG+1 limps. I raise to $20 with AKo. Rock from hand 1 makes it $50 in SB. I have $400 and he covers. Limpers fold. I fold.

Thoughts?

1. Well on this hand I say it is a good fold. He prolly has a set. The only other hands he may try it with would be 44 with the up and down draw.

2. Someone has to have a set.

3. If he is a rock you could deffinatley be against AA/KK.

I took a stab at these hands so I may be off beacuse I am still new to this game..

ummm...i dont like the fold on hand 2. that raise could be something like 99 for all you know. I'd probably call the raise then pop it on the turn
