Miracle on 5th street?

Postby CocaCola » Sat Aug 13, 2005 7:21 pm

I started playing on Full Tilt Poker today, lot's of tight-solid players here. I cashed in at 1000, finished 2hrs later 300 up. At other sites i might hit 1 set a night, but tonight i hit atleast 8 or 9 sets, i'm really liking this place!

here's one of those sets:

Preflop:
I had 260, opponent had 220. Im utg+1, and get 6h6s.
I limp, 2 others limp.
BB brings it in for 8 total. Me and LP call.
(BB is 4%pfr, all around solid player, im pretty certain he has AA or KK)

Flop: TA6 rainbow ($26)
BB checks, I bet 10, only BB calls
(ok, i try to see if he'll reraise a weak bet, but it looks like he has AK)

Turn: TA6(8) ($48)
BB checks, I fire 18, cold call
(i milk some more)

River: TA68(J)
BB fires 35, i min-raise 70, he min-raises 105, i push all-in 80 more for him
(ok the blocking bet i raised, but another min-raise i was getting a bit nervous, he didn't just call 2 bets with just jacks, did he? No, more likely he was slow playing his set of aces. I can't be certain, but i push all-in anyways, if i lose set over set oh well.)

He thinks about it longgg and hard. Im thinking this is a really really good sign.
What do you guys think he had?

My guess is AJ for rivered two pair. I guess if he's a cronic slowplayer, he could have AA or TT. If he's a muppet, he could have KQ and you are kicking yourself about the small bets even though he still shouldn't have been chasing for that price.
