Today's... Mistakes?

Postby BigPhish » Sat Aug 13, 2005 8:46 pm

Party NL $25

1) QQ vs... ?

Phish with $24.75
Villain with $29.40 (14 hands, VPIP 78%, WTSD 17%)

Phish in MP1 with [Qh][Qs]

3 folds, Phish raises to 1.00, MP2 fold, MP3 call, Folds around.

Flop (2.35) [2c][Tc][2h]

Phish bets 2.00, MP3 call

Turn (6.35) [2d]

Phish bet 6.00, villain call

River (18.35) [Th]

Phish pushes for 15.75, Villain...?

What's he got? Do you push too?

2) JJ w/ OESD vs... ??

This is indicative of the suckouts I suffered...

Phish with 19.55
Villain with 39.22 (7 hands, VPIP 71.43)

Phish in BB with [Jd][Jh]

4 folds, MP3 call 0.25, CO fold, Button call, SB complete, Phish raise to 1.00, Fold to Button who calls, SB folds.

Flop (2.50) [8c][Td][9c]

Phish bet 3.00, Button pushes. Phish thinks... thinks... thinks... and.. (well, I have an overpair and an open-end straight draw...) Calls.

Turn, River (40.10) [6c][6s]

He did not have a made hand when he pushed. What did he have? Would you have called?

3) Would you push here?

Phish has 42.20. I been tearing UP this table with aggression, and haven't lost a SD in a while.
MP1 has 34.10. Calling station.
CO has 29.70. I been beating up on him bigtime all night. Every time he raises, I re-raise and he folds. PT calls him an ATM. So do I.

Phish in BB with [4h][4s]

2 folds, MP1 call 0.25, 2 folds, MP3 call, CO raise to 2.00, Button fold, SB fold, Phish call, MP1 call, folds around and 3 of us see the flop:

Flop (6.35) [2h][Jh][4c]

Phish checks (I was certain one of them would bet.), MP1 bets 3.00 (see?), CO calls, Phish thinks until the timer starts beeping and pushes 40.45. Both call. Wow. And uh oh!

Turn, River (106.60) [7c], [Ks]

Would you push there? If not, what's your play? I pushed because I wanted at least one of them OUT!

3) They just won't fold!

Wow. Just. Wow.

Phish with 106.45
Villain is new to the table with 22.15. PT calls him a fish. So do I.

My table image is aggressive and dangerous, but the new fish doesn't know that. He's new. Others have begun commenting on my play. I've begun really opening up the hands I'll limp with, mostly because I now have more buffer to practice my post-flop play and a stack to push people around with.

Phish in CO with [6s][5c]

Folds to MP2 who calls, Folds to Phish who calls, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop (1.00) [4d][2d][7c]

SB checks (he's weak when I'm in the hand now), BB check, MP2 bet .25, Phish (Hey, I have a huge stack and an OESD...) raise to 1.00, SB fold, BB call, MP2 call

Turn (4.00) [3s] (Whee!)

BB check, MP2 bet 0.25 (oh come ON... 0.25 into 4.00?), Phish raises to 8.00 (Wonder if I'll get a caller...), BB folds quicker than lightning, MP2 call (Gotta be a really retarded flush draw, right?)

River (20.00) [Qc] (I have the nuts... I have the nuts! Woo hoo!)

MP2... bets... 4.00... into 20.00... huh?. Phish puts his ass in quicker than lightning. And... he... calls! YAY!

He had... Ready? Wait for it....

[Th][Ts]

Wow.

Hand 1: I like it. Cant think of anything else. you lose to KK,AA, TT, TT is most likely there I think, as he would have reraised you PF with the others and also would have raised that flop.

I push there.

Hand 2.: I wish I could be able to let go there but I call. Maybe it s better to let go though. I see many people playing sets like that, specially against a player who is selective when it comes to raise PF (your case i think). That players have overpairs to that board almost always and if he knows you, he knows you ll have a hardtime letting go your Big pair.

hard decision there, but I cant fold that. bad you missed, but he might be bluffing you, getting cute with the Brunson :) [Ac] [Kc] in which case he hit and ***** you.

hand #3: You pushed when the only hand that beat you is JJ and got two callers. How could anyone not like it? What I dont like is the check raise because you might give them a free heart and I just hate that. I would have led, if he is on AA-kk-QQ-JJ or even AK he is reraising you and then it s a good time to push.

I love it!! Did he show you the cowboys?? Gotta love those two outers. they have cost me more than 150 today !

hand 4: man, you are having your share of good luck and the amount that was supposed to be for me!!!

What d he have?
