AK...Check on flop in LP??

Postby Zuccala » Sat Aug 13, 2005 10:41 am

Hey guys I have yet another question. When on the button or acting last with AK in an unraised pot. If the flop comes with a Ace and no real draws, is it OK to check if the table is really tight and they will prolly fold to a flop bet. Or is the risk to hig to try this? I would on EVER do this against 3 opponent maybe 4. Thanks for ur help in any way!!

One question: How much would he be willing to pay with something less than TP? I think you take too much of risk of being outdrawn, with something like a set (missed on flop) or two small pair or trips. I really dont like to check there.

I dont do it because of that and also because it still causes me to tilt when I am outdrawn for slowplaying. The only hand I slowplay on the flop is Full House, and sometimes I bet the pot and then check the turn.
