JJ with a set?

Postby AlamedaMike » Fri Aug 12, 2005 1:25 pm

I cold called a raise with [Js] [Jd] and hit a set with a [Kd] on the board.

I raised the flop bet by 100%. Only worried about King Kong here.

Was the turn bet a good idea here? He would have checked raised me with King Kong or a bluff?

That was my first impression. I usually check the turn in this spot. I have been getting a lot of bad beats lately and decided to try to win it on the Turn.

This is a form of TILT. Not making the right decesion for whatever reason.

I was so far ahead to all hand except for KK that a bet on the Turn did not do any good.

My only danger was to AQ and a Ten on the river.

I should have taken the risk with a check or a smaller bet such as 1/2 the pot.

Thanks
