Try this play, if you haven't already

I played this hand at Party Poker 1/2 full ring

Preflop: Hero is BB with [6c], [8s].
two early limpers, sb folds, flop

Flop: [5h], [5d], [6h] (3 players)
alright nobody coulda gotten a piece of this flop, i'll bet 4 into 7 pot
both call

Turn: [Qs] (3 players)
hmm, these guys are drawing, i check
middle guy checks, last to act bets 10
i think for a while, i'll rep the 5, i min raise, both fold
probably not the biggest raise but it got the job done

whenever im in the blinds and the flop has a pair i try to rep it but as cheaply as i can, depending on your table image they may not believe you. but try this play out, it may add some variance but it takes down more pots than it loses

I always do it and you are totally right, CocaCola. Too bad when it s against a calling station or a maniac who is going to reraise you.

WOW, I really like a weak lead on that turn, maybe I'm too ABC, but maybe you'll get raised? I like to build that pot anyway I can. Pray for a heart on that river.

ice i didn't explain the whole thought process:

i check because if i lead again i felt it woulda seemed like i was trying to push them out, blowing my cover for the trips. i risked a check raise here instead

The point is you say it s getting away with it cheaply. That is the point. it s true that sometimes they will stay in the pot but the min raise sometimes scare them and since the board it s paired, a good player wont chase a str8 or flush. As i told before it s not something I try if it s against a calling station or a maniac, but if I see and eagle/greeen face/yellow sad face or a triangle is a good choice. It works.
