Be glad you only lost the rake. I saw AA up all-in before the flop against AA and the board hit 4 spades. Luckily I wasn't involved once the reraising escalated I laid down my JJ. KK wasn't to happy to run up against all 4 aces though.

I think you will be surprised at what will call in a fixed buy in game...

I've seen 5/10 with three people all in preflop AK AA QQ with QQ turning the set, all the stacks where over $1k, sickness abounds.
