I started with limit and made about a grand the first night. Then I lost it all quickly thereafter. When I redeposited money I went to NL and have only looked back once.

I was pretty much only a limit player except for home tourneys that were NL. I was playing limit for more than a year until I switched over to PLO and NLHE.

I played mostly limit too. I remember one time saying that playing no limit outside of a tournament is too scary, I've corrected that thinking and become a NL junkie. I still consider limit a skill game, but really enjoy big bet poker much more in problem solving, hand reading, and general trickiery. I also consider limit the training ground to understanding the math of the game, and PL/NL the place to apply it.

I lived on the PL tables in my play chips days. Thats still my favorite game but no action on UB, at least at my level. When I started playing for money I played mostly limit. I didn't have much money and that let me grind my way to a enough of a stake to switch to no limit. It's been pretty much all NL since last November. Who knows - maybe someday I'll learn how to play this game. :D

Limit for like 6 months before I lost my BR to playing on a to high limit and getting outdrawn a couple of times to much. Decided I never wanna be outdrawn again so I starded with NL and at the lower stakes. I still get outdrawn though, but perhaps not as much. But I am actually still so afraid of getting outdrawn that I propably bet to hard and do not squeeze the most out of the good hands I have =) well perhaps thats better than the other alternative though...

I was strictly a limit player until a month or so ago. I made very good money playing limit, but it becomes a grind. You play ABC poker, calculate the odds, and play a lot of tables. I enjoy NL more, as there is a lot more sublety.

I think FL is easier and better for new players to learn the game. (I still have a hard time losing my whole stack on one hand.) But when there are 3 tables of fixed limit and 20 tables of NL, you go where the money is.

Played limmit for about 18 months. Got to where I was winning almost 2 BB an hour at the $5/$10 level.

Had to withdraw bank roll due to family emergency and decided that I was not willing to go through the grind of rebuilding my bankroll to play at $5/$10.

Read somewhere that you only needed 10 - 20 buyins to play No Limit so I switched. I doubt I will ever play limit again except for the occassional limit tourney.

I am truly a mixed bag. Started with $10SNGs NL...mixing in bonus whoring multitabling 1/2 limit (where admittedly I as winning a 1.5BB/100 but just shrugged and accepted the extra bonus dollars)

I LOVE NL and am starting to think about entering cash games (which I have never done).

I do quite well at the low (10 or 20) level SNGs aprox. 50% ITM and an ROI of about 40% as am comfortable in all of the SNG scenarios (big stack/smallstack; full table/bubble time/short handed). But deep down I think I should be making more $ for the time spent!

but I think it is time I try some NL cash action.....I know some tweakage is needed for the switch and just need to overcome whatever mental obstacle is in my brain!
