playing live $2/$4 NL

my stack=~$700

villian is new to table but i have enough of a read on him to know he's a solid ABC player. stack=~$250

Villian is the SB and posts $2

Hero is the BB and posts $4

folded to the SB who completes

I check the BB with

Flop:

Villian checks and I check behind. I didn't want to bet into a made hand and get check-raised.

Turn:

Villian bets $50

Hero re-raises to ALL IN

Villian calls and shows the to win.

My question: Heads up pre-flop, does anyone fold to a $50 dollar bet...
I felt like the push was a good move here and most flushes will call me especially live...I didn't feel like this was a situation where only a better hand would call...
And without a 100% positive read I am making this play pretty much everytime and think it would be a +EV play...Thoughts?

i would bet the flop everytime, especially against a solid ABC player in the sb.

obviously his turn bet is very suspicious, but i don't think i would lay it down...w/ the , i would probably smooth call, and fold to a river all-in (well...i would at least consider it). i don't like the all-in b/c, you said he's solid ABC, he's not going to call w/out the . i don't see how a decent player can call w/ the or lower.

against a fishy player, i would smooth call the turn, too, and probably call any river bet.

No way I would lay down the K high flush. Chalk that up to the same thing as being set over setted. You'll win more long-term with the K high than folding everytime there's pressure.

Also, I would have lead out on the flop (not that it would have helped you here). If I get CR'd, I'd probably call knowing I'm up against the flush but if club falls I probably can take his stack.

By leading on the flop, I get to know if I can stack them on another club (tough that it was A though), I also get anyone not on a flush draw to fold (maybe even TPTK) even before I've hit it.

He bet $50, 1/3 of his stack into $6 pot? He is solid and ABC? Muck!!! What else can a solid and ABC player bet 10x the pot with besides the nuts? There are better people to play the second nuts against than this guy. If you said he was LAGish, an idiot, drunk, or a whole host of other things the all in is great to this kind of over bet as you can expect to be ahead much more of the time.

I agree with Rdale....if this guys is truly a solid ABC player as you claim, no way I am pushing here with the second nuts. There will be better times to stack him than this certainly.
