I don't like the $40 bet. What are you representing? If they know you are a tight player and bet out of BB 2pr is very likely, and at the very worst a good King. When you bet small on the turn I think it's easier to put you on a monster than if you bet pot. If guys are smart enough not to draw for flushes on paired boards they won't do it whether you bet big or small, and if they are dumb they will most likely call bigger bets anyway, not to mention a king will give you action on bigger bets.
